Welcome to St. Peter's Hook Norton

St. Peter's Church represents the core of a vibrant, growing Anglican church community in Hook Norton,  Oxfordshire on the edge of the Cotswolds. Image

Within the Diocese of Oxford and the Deanery of Chipping Norton, St. Peter's is the mother church in the Parish of Hook Norton, with Great Rollright (St. Andrew's Church) and Swerford (St. Mary's Church). These three villages, together with Wigginton (St. Giles Church), make up the Benefice of Hook Norton with Great Rollright, Swerford and Wigginton.

As a large village with a diverse population, Hook Norton is also a thriving Christian community with a large, forward-thinking congregation. Worship is enjoyed through a range of service types, both on Sundays and via regular and ad-hoc meetings during the week.

St. Peter's is very much a church 'family', providing mutual support and fellowship 365 days a year, not just on Sundays. Our congregation includes all ages, and people at many different stages of faith, with varied opportunities for worship and teaching, from Bible study and Alpha, to Fellowship groups, Youth groups and clubs for even the youngest children.

'Be Part of a Miracle'

The Parochial Church Council has decided that all Churches in the Benefice will commit to the Tearfund 'Be Part of a Miracle' project.

The aim of this project is to lift 50 million people out of poverty within the next 10 years through the combined efforts of 100,000 local churches.

We are invited to pray (both as individuals and as a church), to give, to be involved in action or to spread the word. As a Benefice we intend to be involved in all of these.

Please watch the notice boards at the back of the church for updates or visit the website  www.bepartofamiracle.org
