Giving to St. Peter's

St. Peter's relies on its regular and occasional donations and legacies for its day-to-day operation, and donations are always welcome. Please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you would like to make a one-off donation. Tax-payers can also gift-aid any donations, which allows St. Peter's to claim back basic rate tax from the Chancellor. We do encourage tax-payers to sign a gift-aid form. Please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for further details. Gift-aid envelopes are also available in church. Completed envelopes and donations can be put in the donations box by the main door.

An envelope scheme exists for regular donations, which again can be Gift Aided, together with the ability to pay by standing order from your Bank.  Please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to us if you would like details of either of these schemes.

Support of Christian Charities

Whilst St. Peter's relies on its weekly and occasional donations and legacies for its day-to-day operation, the church also supports Christian chariities that operate worldwide. Over recent years our services and special events, from concerts to shared lunches, have raised thousands of pounds for organisations including Tearfund and Make Poverty History.

Over the last few years St. Peter's have donated in excess of £11,000 to missionary giving. Recent Tearfund projects we have supported include: Survivors; Sahel; Tuberculosis; Bolivia; Step Forward; and Get Cracking campaigns. Other projects supported include Send-A-Cow and Christian Aid.

Up until Easter 2007, St. Peter's will be focusing on Stop the Traffik, a global coalition of some 300 organisations and charities working to expose people trafficking around the globe. Please see the Stop the Traffik page on this website. There are lots of ways we can all get involved. Freedom is the theme of our Lent Course during 2007, and Freedom Day (March 25) is being marked by a special benefice-wide Walk of Witness event.

 Polly Box

St. Peter's supports its extended family in Banbury by providing donations of non-perishable food to Polly, who answers a calling from God by giving freely of her time to provide an evening meal for the homeless, every day of the year.

If you would like to make a contribution, please buy an extra item with your shopping and bring it along to church where there is a  suitably labelled box to receive it.
